Pomodoro Citizenship

Since I am only on a short break, I am trying to post the Pomodoro User banner to this blog. Since it does not seem "easy" to add to the template, I will just add one in line here, and request citizenship on my next "long break".

Pomodoro!

Found Pomodoro last night, and it deals with many of the issues I have been facing while working on my thesis at UCSC.  I am attempting to use it today.  The creators seem to give everything away for free, which is awesome, so I will list the 5 steps here:

Choose a task to be accomplished

Set the Pomodoro to 25 minutes (the Pomodoro is the timer)

Work on the task until the Pomodoro rings, then put a check on your sheet of paper

Take a short break (5 minutes is OK)

Every 4 Pomodoros take a longer break

I just finished my 3rd Pomodoro, currently tracking them at: tomatoi.st, a free web app.  Tomorrow I will try diving deeper into the technique.

Hello World!

Created this blog to continue my username domination of "mgrollins".  Found http://namechk.com/ in a tweet from @Bill_Gross, very useful... or at least interesting!

Just "Previewed" post, and Ethereal theme does not remind me of the networking packet tracing tool at all!  Will have to change that when I get a chance!
